We were up at 7am Tuesday, as usual, and after pouring some coffee, Paulette and I both sat down at our respective laptops to check out our overnight emails and blogs etc. But first, we raised the day/night blinds beside the kitchen window so we could see Mt. San Jacinto, already bathed in sunshine. We never get tired of that beautiful view each morning.
I took Molly and Rylie down to the dog park about 8:30 and by the time I got back an hour later, Paulette was just about ready to hit the road with her friend, Ann, for a quick trip up to the Yucca Valley to check out a few shops she spotted the last time we were up that way. Paulette was just saying that she’s getting to the point here, where she’s now just about as busy as she is at home. No fear of that ever happening to me!
It’s tough for me to get a good spot on the couch in the evening!I spent some time this morning working on my ‘tolerate/hate’ relationship with Facebook. I signed up for a FB account about a year ago and have since deactivated/activated it on 2 occasions. It is currently active. I went through all of my security and privacy settings to lock them down as tight as I could, even committing what seems to be heresy on FB by limiting some information to “Me Only”.
As for “Friends”, my friends are only visible to my friends and no one else. But, that’s one of my main complaints about Facebook. I think they should put in an option to allow users to not display friends – just the number, or at least only the friends you want to show. I also don’t like the way FB checks through my contacts list to suggest ‘new friends’ and then tells me how many ‘mutual friends’ I have. Mind your own business, I already know who’s in my contact list!! I don’t think FB is going to do this so I just might have to get rid of it again and just stick to good old email! I find it kind of creepy!
After lunch yesterday, I walked up to the office to get a list of available “wash sites” for next year. Wash sites are those where there is a ‘wide dry wash’ separating one row of RV sites from the other instead of sites that back on to each other. One of the nice features of this RV Park is that all sites are separated by tall green hedges so that adds a lot of additional privacy.
Red sites back directly onto a wash for more privacy. All sites have hedges between them. The wash sites are called ‘premium sites’ and cost more to rent, but with our discounts, it only comes to an extra $70 a month which is well worth it just for not having anyone right behind us – Rylie doesn’t seem to like that too much. The little mutt!! Anyway, I managed to get the site we wanted and reserved it for the same 3 month period next year – early January thru early April. So, we’re all set for next year!
Same old, same old for the rest of the afternoon and evening!
Have a great Wednesday, and thanks again for visiting!
