You Can’t Beat These Kinds Of Days!

Sunday was just one of those days that Palm Springs is famous for – sunny, hot weather!  It was a perfect day right from 7am on when we opened the door to let some warm air in.  That’s right, it was warmer outside than it was inside as the sun was already shining directly on our site – our door side faces east so it’s always nice and warm in our outside sitting area in the morning.

The only time we left the RV Park yesterday was to take a quick drive to Desert Hot Springs so Paulette could pick up a few groceries.  While she was doing that, I drove over to the gas station to fill the truck up with diesel fuel.  Then, we headed back to our 5’er and settled in for a relaxing day in the park.

I only watched the last 2 minutes of each of the NCAA Tournament games on Sunday.  I just couldn’t justify sitting indoors on such a beautiful day so I occasionally checked the time and scores on my iTouch and with 2 minutes to go in each game, I went inside to watch the finish.  So, the Duke Blue Devils are the only #1 seed to make the Final Four this year – amazing!

Paulette and I spent a good hour or so in the pool yesterday afternoon.  It was a perfect way to stay cool while still enjoying the sunshine.  I think Molly and Rylie were just as happy to spend an hour snoozing back in the 5’er with a fan setup to blow cool air on them – they didn’t even hear us come back until we actually opened the door.

Our friends from home, Gary and Sandy, are heading out Monday morning on their journey home.  So, Paulette invited them over for dessert last night so we could visit for a bit and say goodbye before they left.  It was another beautiful, warm evening so we were able to sit outside and chat for a few hours.  They are headed off to Sedona, AZ tomorrow morning and plan to stay there for 3 or 4 days before heading north and back to B.C.

Tomorrow begins our last full week here in the Sands RV Park – its been a very fast 3 months and our departure date of April 6th is coming up fast.  Oh well, we’ll still have a month of traveling to do in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah before we start to head home ourselves.  There’s lots to look forward to yet.

Have a great Monday, and thanks again for visiting!
