Bullhead City/Laughlin, Nevada

Another afternoon sitting in lawn chairs, enjoying the hot Arizona sun. A person could get very used to this type of January weather. There were a few people lounging around the pool today but we never did get around to walking over there and going for a swim - maybe this weekend!

This morning, we took a drive up to Bullhead City and Laughlin, NV - it's about 90 minutes away. Part of the way, we drove on "Route 66", the highway made somewhat famous by the old 60's TV show of the same name. It was an interesting drive as it wound through deserts, hills and for some parts the Colorado River. The skies were partly overcast on the way there, but cleared up just before noon.

Bullhead City and Laughlin are situated quite close to each other. Sort of like one has expanded into the other's territory. We were surprised to see how big the hotel casinos were in Laughlin - and, how many. It's a mini Las Vegas. We looked at the casinos from the outside but didn't bother going in as we had Mo and Molly with us and didn't want to leave them alone in the truck.

Paulette was a bit disappointed by the big Outlet Mall in Laughlin. It wasn't as good as she was hoping. All she bought was an 'orange juicer'! That's great because every time I open the fridge now an orange rolls out.

This weekend, we will be relaxing around the RV Resort and making a few trips into Lake Havasu City.
