We've spent most of the last three days in our RV park with a few trips into Lake Havasu City to sight-see, do a bit of shopping and pick up groceries. The weather's been perfect - sunny and warm which has allowed to go swimming each day in the outdoor pool here. The rest of the time, we've just relaxed outside enjoying the sun.
One of the interesting things, and nice, we've noticed here is that there are absolutely no bugs! No flies, no mosquitos, no bees or any other type of flying insect. I don't know whether it's just the time of year or what, but it's sure nice sitting outside in the sun and not being bothered by flies etc.
This morning, Paulette and I went over to the clubhouse breakfast - the same one we were so impressed with last Saturday morning. We weren't disappointed - it was just as good as last week - great waffles! The volunteers who put this on do a terrific job and really seem to enjoy it.
We're fast approaching the end of our two week stay here at Lake Havasu - it sure has flown by fast! Tomorrow's our last full day here as we will be on the road early Monday morning heading for Tucson where we'll be staying for five days. Tucson has a huge Gem & Bead show that runs for about a week and Paulette is really looking forward to visiting as many locations as she can. Luckily for me(and Mo & Molly), there are free shuttle buses that take visitors around to all the different locations in the city(i.e. Convention Centre, Expo Centre, various large hotels etc.) - it's supposed to be the largest gem and bead show in the world.
Our RV Park, Havasu Falls, is full to the limit today - no vacancies. I expect it will be close to that for the next few months. There are quite a few people who have been coming back here to this park for several years now and they stay for the entire winter. Paulette and I are both looking forward to coming back next year for a longer stay.
Tomorrow, we are going to head down to the London Bridge area for the weekly Flea Market. It is supposed to be quite good and Paulette, of course, is really looking forward to it. After that, it's back to the RV park to begin packing up before settling down to watch the Super Bowl later in the afternoon. I hear we just might be in for a bit or rain some time tomorrow so it won't seem so bad to be inside watching TV.
No photos for the past few days as we haven't really been anywhere new - we'll see what Tucson brings on Monday.
