After we had dinner, Paulette got busy with her super-duper electric orange juicer and began making orange juice:

By the time she was finished Paulette had filled several juice containers. With our planning to stay here for three days, I’m starting to think I may have to drain our fresh water tank so we can fill it up with orange juice! It sure is the best orange juice we have ever tasted though!
We left Rolling Hills very early this morning – about 7:15am, just at dawn. The drive down to Bakersfield was very easy as we had sunny skies and no weather problems whatsoever. We managed to miss the early morning rush hour traffic in Sacramento as we drove through there just after 9:00am.
Most of the drive today was through California’s agricultural and orchard areas with lots of farms and rolling hills. Traffic on I-5 was fairly light so it was just a case of putting the truck on cruise control and keeping it on the highway.
We plan on staying here in Bakersfield until Monday morning, and then we will be heading over to Needles, CA on the Arizona, Nevada, California border for a three day stay.
