What's a Saturday morning without a little GS'ing - especially in super-rich Palm Springs? Here's Paulette leaving the scene with two hands full of sure-fire bargains:

We spent about 2 hours driving around the hollywood colony in Palm Springs looking for garage sales and we found a couple, including one estate sale. Paulette said the inside of the house was simply fantastic -everything you see on lifestyles of the rich and famous. We got a rich and famous casserole dish, as well as 5 pieces of wrought iron garden art.

After GS'ing, we drove over to the College of the Desert Street Fair in Palm Desert, but by the time we got there it was just too hot to walk around much. We did a quick tour and left. The street fair is on every Saturday and Sunday, so we'll definitely go back again only much earlier in the day when it's not so hot.

When we wake up in the morning and look out our bedroom window, here is the view we get of the San Jacinto Peak:

On the north-west side, we get a great view of Big Bear Mountain. It's surprising, being in the desert, yet surrounded by mountain ranges on 3 sides. After getting back to the park today, it was definitely time for a quick swim in the pool and some time reading outside in the sun:

This morning, when we took Mo and Molly for their morning walk down to the pet park, there were quite a few small dogs there. Two of them were multi-poos named Bobo and Buddy. Surprisingly, Mo is turning out to be a real socialiser. We are able to let both Mo and Molly off their leashes and they are both extremely good - no growling, barking or anything. Mo is turning into a very friendly dog - who knew?

Yesterday, Paulette decided she would like to so a little shopping in Palm Springs, so I dropped her off at a place with two strip malls and headed back home with Mo and Molly. Our new Net10 cellphones are perfect for this because now all Paulette has to do is give me a call about 20 minutes before she wants me to pick her up and we don't have to worry about the ridiculous Telus roaming charges. Net10, or a similar package, is the only way to go down here.

That was abot it for Saturday and we plan to spend Sunday in the RV Park just taking it easy. Before going to bed, Molly decided she would like to read along with Paulette:
