First thing this morning, Paulette loaded her sewing machine and a bunch of quilting stuff into the truck and drove over to the clubhouse to see what was happening with the weekly Quilting Group. It turns out it was pretty good as she said there were about 14 women there. Paulette came home at noon, for lunch, and then headed back to the clubhouse until about 2:00pm. It looks like this is going to be a pretty regular Wednesday event. A group of them, including Paulette, are going to visit a few quilting stores this Sunday as it is a 20% off day because of the Super Bowl - although I'm not sure what quilting has to do with a football game!

It was a perfect day here today - the best we've had yet, sunny and warm from sunrise to sunset. As soon as Paulette got back from quilting, I headed to the pool. Paulette went for a swim after I got back. One of us usually stays around to dog-sit Mo and Molly.

The swimming pool is perfect as they keep the water temperature around 87F. It sure is nice to just walk right in without freezing to death. Every time we go there, we run into people from Canada - usually from B.C. Today, I talked to a guy from Nanaimo!

Right off southern edge of the pool patio is the Resort's 9-hole golf course.

I haven't played it yet, but I did bring my golf clubs this year so one of these days I'm going to give it a try.
