Sands RV Resort - Feb. 9-11

According to local weather reports, on average, the Palm Springs area only gets about 11 days of rain per year. On Monday, we got one of those days - it even reminded us of home a bit as it rained all day and the temps were cool - about 15C! Tuesday dawned with not even a wisp of cloud in the sky - they completely disappeared overnight - it was really wierd, but welcome! Paulette took some pics of the San Jacinto Peak early this morning as snow had obviously fallen at the higher elevations. It almost looks like a ruler was used to define where the freezing point was on the mountain:

I went swimming in the pool today and it's still strange to look up and see all that snow while it's so hot here. But, the mountain is close to 10,000 ft. high so it's not too surprising I guess.

Tomorrow morning Paulette and Sandy are going to a bead shop in Palm Desert to take a class on some kind of jewelery making - bracelets and necklace techniques. So, I imagine that will take up most of their day.

It looks to me like it will be another day of relaxing outside and reading - pretty much what I did for most of this afternoon as it was nice and warm.
