COD Street Fair

Paulette, Molly and me spent a couple of hours this morning at the College of the Desert(COD) Street Fair this morning. We got there at 9:00am so the temperature was just perfect at 22C. This is one of Paulette's favourite places to go in Palm Springs as there are always dozens of booths selling jewellery, beads, necklaces, bracelets etc. The good thing about the COD is the stuff they sell isn't junk - the vendors are first class and the quality of the great majority of sellers is excellent.

We left at 11:00am as the temperature reached 30C and it was getting far too hot for Molly to walk around - not to mention us. It's amazing that no matter when we come here, or drive by, on any Saturday or Sunday, this place is always packed. I guess the vendors must do o.k.

Molly was so tired from walking around for 2 hours, she crawled right up on the couch and had a 2 hour nap. Later, I found her outside on the mat just basking in the sun:

Molly knows how to vacation.

This afternoon, we started to get busy putting some of our outside stuff away and preparing to do a clean-up inside and out tomorrow and Tuesday. Paulette took some time to take some pictures of the Oleander Hedges that separate all of the RV Sites here - the hedges are just beginning to sprout flowers:

Tonight, we took Molly down to the dog park for her usual walk and she was really energetic chasing her ball all over and she actually brought it back to us more often than not. A lot of times when we throw the ball for Molly to chase, she will tear off after it and then, suddenly, veer off in a totally different direction towards something that has caught her attention. So, Paulette and I end up chasing the ball ourselves! Two more full days left here!
