| From The Almond Tree RV Park in CA |
The Almond Tree is a very nice, comfortable RV park and is situated just off of I-5 so returning to the freeway in the morning will be quite easy. It even has a really great wifi system which is a bit of a surprise since it’s a bit out of the way.

We figured out pretty quick why this place is called the Almond Tree. It’s because the park is full of them. We have almond trees on both sides of our site – and, they have almonds on them. Paulette doesn’t know if you can actually eat them right off the tree or not as they may have to be roasted or something. I’m not really that interested in finding out!
Molly has a new friend here – a mid-size black and tan dog that is super-friendly. They’ve been sitting together outside and the dog came with us tonight when we took Molly for a walk. Apparently, it’s a stray but hangs around the RV Park and seems to do quite well – she sure doesn’t look hungry at all. She is very, very gentle and really loves being around people. We both hope she finds a good permanent home as she would be a great pet with children.
We’re off again tomorrow headed for a 1 night stay in Redding, CA at the JGW RV Park. We stayed there last year on the way home and really liked it. The park is right on the Sacramento River, is beautifully landscaped and it’s as clean as a whistle!
The great thing is it’s only a 5 hour drive, so we should be there by early afternoon. It’s always nice to have a few hours in the afternoon and then the whole evening to relax before having to get back on the road.
