After visiting the Grand Canyon yesterday, no matter what we did today was ever going to equal that. So, today, Paulette and I just planned a quick trip into Flagstaff, AZ, which is only a 30 minute drive from our RV Park. We didn’t really expect to see or do much in Flagstaff and, in that, we weren’t really disappointed. The “Old Town” is only a bit bigger than here in Williams, but it is a lot more rundown and ‘old’.

The only thing Paulette had wanted to do in Flagstaff was to check out a quilt store here. But, after driving around for a bit, and finally finding it, the store had gone out of business altogether. So, with that we were definitely out of Flagstaff.I dropped Paulette off in Williams so she could take one last look around town to see if there was anything of interest – but, no luck there either. After picking her up in Williams, we came back to the RV Park and began cleaning up and putting everything away for our trip to Las Vegas tomorrow.

It was a beautiful hot day here today, 18C, but looking at the weather forecast, snow is predicted here for Friday! Snow!! It’s time to get out of Dodge!
It’s only about a 3 ½ hour drive from here to the Oasis RV Resort in Las Vegas so we should get there very early tomorrow afternoon. The only thing between here and Las Vegas that looks of interest is the city of Boulder and the site, of course, of the Boulder Dam. A look at the dam and Lake Mead might be interesting.
We’ll have to pick a very quiet movie to watch tonight. Last night, “The Dark Knight” scared the living daylights out of poor Molly. There were a lot of blasts, mayhem, shooting and loud explosions that she didn’t like at all. Paulette couldn’t even sew because Molly wanted to crawl right up into her arms and hide!
We're looking forward to seeing Las Vegas as it will be the first trip there for both Paulette and me.
