But, I really don't need a notebook computer - if I was still working(thank goodness, I'm retired) and traveled a lot on business though, I'd sure be giving one of these a good look. However, we already have 3 desktop computers at home plus our Dell laptop. Doesn't hurt to look though - these notebooks now go for under $400 - that's really incredible.
My next stop was Costco where I always manage to find something to buy even if its only a hot dog for lunch – still hard to beat with a coke for $1.99!I checked out their paperbacks and found a new book by one of my favorite authors – John Sandford. He is the author of the “…. Prey” novels and his new book is titled “Phantom Prey”. He has well over a dozen “Prey” novels in publication and, if you like page turning, well written suspense thrillers involving all kinds of mayhem, then I guarantee if you read one of these books you will be hooked – just like me. It's also kind of different because the events in the book take place in Minneapolis/St. Paul which is a nice change from New York or Los Angeles.
After Costco, I stopped in at Starbucks, bought a coffee and 2 lbs. of Kenyan coffee beans. Paulette and I have been hooked on Kenyan Dark Roast coffee for a few years now and it has become a staple of ours both at home and on the road. We bought a small burr-grinder in Palm Springs this year, so now the coffee is tasting better than ever in the morning!
By the time I got back home it was about 2:30pm and time to take Molly for her afternoon walk. It was another sunny, warm day with a temperature of 72F. When we got back from Molly's walk, Paulette told me we had received an email from the dog breeder with a new picture of Rylie taken when she was 3 weeks old - just a few days ago.
We are still on track to pick up Rylie and bring her home around June 20th.
