An Update On Rylie - Our New Puppy!

Last night, we received another email with a picture of "Rylie" - our new puppy. This picture was taken when she was 4 weeks old. Everything still appears to be on track for us to pick Rylie up and bring her home with us on, or about, June 20th.

As I've mentioned in earlier blog entries, Riley is a cockapoo which is a cross between an American Spaniel and a minitature Poodle - they are hypoallergenic. That's a necessity for us as our youngest daughter Hayley has asthma and allergies. Hayley finished university this year and has moved to Ottawa, but she still comes home to visit so we have to be careful.

We are very curious to see how Molly, our 5 yr. old cockapoo, will react to having Rylie around. It should be fun for the first couple of days that's for sure. But, I'm sure Molly will be very happy to have a companion, and playmate, to keep her company especially during times when both Paulette and I are out somewhere.

The weather continues to be unseasonably hot here - it was in the 90's yesterday which is unheard of for June or pretty much any time of year for that matter. All kinds of heat records were smashed. Fortunately, the weather is supposed to return to a more normal 70's range by Friday - yeah!!
