Tuesday was a very quiet day for me and the muttzo’s, as Paulette left at 8:30, with 2 of her quilting friends, to go to the once a month Club Day at the Cloth Castle. There, they meet with about 30 other quilters to “Sew and Tell”, share patterns and, of course, look for new material. After a few hours, Paulette and a few friends head off to lunch and a bit more shopping before heading home about 2:00.
Last week, Paulette heard from a neighbor that there was a nice ‘Dog Park’, in Cobble Hill, just a few minutes away from us . So, after lunch, I loaded Molly and Rylie into the truck and we drove over to check it out. It is a nice place with a large fenced in area with lots of grass, a water station and a few paths for the dogs to explore.
A short video clip of Rylie’s intro at the Dog Park
When we arrived, there were about 6 other dogs there – all sizes and breeds. As Rylie had never been to one of these places before, I didn’t know how she would react. Well, she just loved it! After an initial bout of nervousness around the ‘big dogs’, she settled in and had a great time running and playing around. Molly was just fine too as she is used to a similar park at the Sands RV & Golf Resort. It looks like this place will now be on our regular itinerary.
After all the fun at the dog park, I came home and downloaded Dan Brown’s new book, The Lost Symbol, from the Sony Book Store for just $9.99 – you gotta love that!
This new novel is Brown’s follow-up to his wildly successful, The Da Vinci Code, which was the bestselling hardcover adult novel of all time with 81 million copies in print worldwide.
The Lost Symbol went on sale yesterday and it will be very interesting to see how sales compare to The Da Vinci Code. For some reason, it took me about four years to get around to reading the The Da Vinci Code, but now, I’ll be right up there with the first ones to read this new book.
Paulette got home just after 3:00 and said she had a great lunch at the Macaroni Grill in Victoria. Later, we just scrounged around in the fridge for a light dinner and spent the evening watching a bit of TV and spending time on our computers.
