We spent the entire day Saturday in the RV Park just taking it easy. It was another beautiful day with temperatures in the mid-70’s. After our usual morning routine and a few chores, I decided to see if I could get our Fantastic Fan working with the parts that arrived in the mail yesterday. It was a simple fix and we can raise the vent again so the fan is working. That’s good because with the hot weather we’ve really missed it.
Annika just loved Molly and Rylie and they sure liked her too!Just before 11am, my brother Tom and his wife Donna, along with their daughter Diana and her 6 month old baby Annika, dropped by to visit us. They had just been to the Palm Springs Airport to see their daughter, Debbie, off on a flight home to Victoria, BC. Paulette made coffee and we sat outside in the sunshine and chatted for a while before they had to leave to head back down to their RV Park in El Centro.
Sitting outside having coffee yesterday morningThe rest of the afternoon was spent riding the bike back and forth to the swimming pool, sitting outside in a recliner reading and checking how the NFL football game between the Saints and the Cardinals was going – three pretty tough jobs for a Saturday afternoon!
A perfect way to spend a nice Sunday afternoonRemember last week when I mentioned Paulette had picked up a pair of men’s 100% wool pants for $10 at a garage sale? The original price tag, still on the pants, showed a price of $139. Well, last night, while I was watching the Colts-Ravens playoff game, Paulette was working on her new quilt. The brown plaid all around the edges of the quilt, in the picture below, used to be that pair of 100% wool pants.
The quilt Paulette is working on with the trim from the pair of men’s pantsWe don’t have any big plans for Sunday except a huge load of laundry that we’ve been saving up for a rainy day. The problem is, we haven’t had any rainy days since we’ve been here so tomorrow we’ll have to head up to the laundromat here in the park and get it done - even if it’s sunny! The good news is the laundromat is right by the swimming pool.
Have a great Sunday, and thanks again for visiting!
