Molly stopping to pose for a picture in the dog park
I finished up reading blogs, email and news around 8am and took Molly and Rylie for their morning visit to the dog park. It’s great to be able to step outside just wearing a t-shirt, shorts and sandals and feel warmer outside than what it was in the 5’er. I never get tired of that here in southern California.
Paulette, Molly and Rylie in the park we visited on Sunday
Paulette left to do some grocery shopping at her favorite grocery store here in Palm Springs – Trader Joe’s. They sell really unique and unusual items and the prices are really good too. Their products include gourmet foods, organic foods, vegetarian food, unusual frozen foods, imported foods, "alternative" food items, and basics like bread, cereal, eggs, dairy, coffee and produce Trader Joe's sells many items using their own private labels.
Paulette bought this small, folding oak table for our 5’er for $10
Of course, Paulette never does just “one thing” when she goes shopping claiming that would be a waste of gas. This time, she happened to stop into a local thrift store and found a very nice little oak table for the living room in our 5’er. The cost? A whopping $10!!
It even has a nice little storage area under the center lift-up leaf
Paulette arrived back at the RV Park just in time to allow me to head up to the clubhouse to check out what our park schedule described as a weekly “Computer Discussion Group”. When I walked in, there were approximately 10 people already there, with some huddled around several laptop computers in different parts of the room.
The RV Park Computer Discussion Group drew about a dozen RV’ers
It turns out that this isn’t a formal club, thank goodness, it’s just a chance for anyone who has a question or a problem to bring their concerns to the attention of others to see if anyone has a solution. After about 45 minutes, all the questions were answered, so the group quickly scattered about and left.
Some neighbors checking out their new Jaguar Golf Cart!
I happened to walk by the pool while leaving the clubhouse and it looked so nice I rode the bike back to the RV, changed into my bathing suit and went back up for a swim. I think it was about 78F today so the pool area was really crowded although the actual swimming pool was nearly empty as most people were just lying around on lounge chairs enjoying the sun.
It was another perfect day around the pool yesterday
Paulette went up for a swim after I got back and I took her place outside on a recliner to read for a while. I’m still really enjoying my Sony eBook Reader as I finished one book today, hit a few buttons and there was a new book all ready to go – I didn’t even have to get up!!
Have a great Tuesday, and thanks again for visiting.
