As I hunkered down late last night to compose this blog entry, I asked myself “what have I done today that’s kind of interesting”? Nothing! “Did I leave the park”? Nope! “Did I take any pictures”? Nada! I just stayed around the RV Park all day enjoying the mid-80’s, sunny weather. It was another picture perfect day, except I didn’t take any pictures so I’ll just post a few extras from The Living Desert.
I took Molly and Rylie down to the dog park at 8am, which is a little earlier than usual, but the park was still quite crowded. It’s kind of nice as all of us dog owners can just turn the muttzo’s loose and then sit around a picnic table to chat a bit while the dogs play.
By the time we got back from the dog park, Paulette was gone – off with 5 other ladies for a shopping trip. I didn’t expect to see her back until late afternoon, but she surprised me by showing up at 12:30pm.
We did have one little adventure this afternoon and that was giving Molly and Rylie a bath using our 5’ers outside shower. They were both pretty dusty and dirty from all the running around here. Molly was great – she just sits there until she’s all soaped up and rinsed off. Rylie though, is a little “buckin’ bronco” – it takes 2 of us. One to hold her down and the other to wash and shower – what a job. We all end up soaking wet!!
After that, we went up to the pool for a swim to cool off a bit. I love the pool here as the temperature is just perfect. We can both walk right in without shivering yet it’s cool enough to be refreshing. The Palm trees all around add a nice tropical touch to it as well.
That was it for Monday. We watched some more of the Olympics from Vancouver and were glad to see the weather has cooperated a bit. It looks like things will go smoothly, weather wise anyway, from now to the finish.
Have a great Tuesday, and thanks again for visiting!
