What a difference a day makes in the weather around here. After driving through some very wierd weather in Arizona yesterday, today it was beautiful, clear blue skies, sunny and the forecast is for much hotter temperatures as the week goes on.

Today was Paulette's day to check out the gem shows around town, so about 10:00am we drove to one of the major show areas near the conference centre and dropped her off there after making sure the shuttle buses were running. Then, I went back to the RV park with Mo and Molly to relax and wait for a phone call from Paulette to let us know where and when to pick her up.

This Gem Show in Tucson is just huge. There are over forty separate sites around the city, most conveniently setup just off of the main freeway that goes right through Tucson. Each site has dozens, some hundreds, of vendors setup in huge tents, outside stalls and indoor locations as well. They are selling literally every type of gems, minerals, beads, rocks and stones imaginable. A beader's paradise!

Paulette called me just before 3:00pm to say that she had caught the shuttle bus to a show just 5 minutes from the Beaudry RV Resort. So, I packed up the mutts and drove over to pick her up. Paulette was thrilled with the shows and especially with all the “money she saved”! Apparently, the beads she bought were really good deals. In fact, it was so good that she is going to go back and do it all over again tomorrow - only at different sites.

The Beaudry RV Resort, where we are staying is very nice. There is a great, fenced-in 'dog-walk' that circles a large pond quite near our site. Mo and Molly just love it. There is also a nice fitness centre, a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, clean restrooms and showers as well as an on-site restaurant. Right next to us is a huge Camping World store. I took a look at it yesterday morning and picked up a few small items for the 5th wheel - I will definitley have to go back for a longer visit as they sell everything imaginable for RV'ing.
In addition to the bead shows, we'll probably do some sightseeing around Tucson and then just relax outside in the sun for a while.
