We arrived here yesterday, Wednesday, around noon after a short two hour drive from Blythe. By 1:00pm, we had the fifth-wheel parked in our site and Paulette was off to the outdoor pool for her first swim of this vacation. It was very hot here yesterday, not a cloud in the sky and absolutely no wind, not even a breeze. This morning, when we got up it was still quite warm with some high scattered clouds that pretty much went away by late morning. First thing, we took Mo and Molly for a walk to their favourite park.

At the park, we can take them off their leashes and they love going for long runs along the grass. They would be very happy to spend the entire day there. Every two blocks here, there are "washes" running through the length of the park. I guess they are in the case of a heavy rain or a flash flood, but they look bone dry to us and we've never seen any rain here at all. Here's a typical wash - one of about five like this:

We took a 10 minute drive down Gene Autrey Trail past the Palm Springs Airport to the new Walmart that was under construction when we left last year. The Walmart we went to last year is in Palm Desert which is about 20 minutes away along the I-10 freeway. So, this new location is going to come in pretty handy especially since the Walmart is a full Supercenter.
Paulette went to the pool today just in time to join a women's "aquatic exercise" program. They exercise in the pool every day from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, so that looks to become a regular program. That along with a quilting and craft's club should be enough to keep Paulette pretty busy for the next two months - along with some shopping, of course!
We don't have any big plans for the next few days around here other than going to the College of the Desert Street and Flea Market on Saturday morning.
