More Visitors Arrive

Paul and Marleen pulled in here late Friday afternoon and are parked in the site right next to us. They are only here for the weekend as they are on their way home from Arizona and plan to leave on Monday morning. So, as soon as they got their 5th wheel parked, we called Gary and Sandy, and everyone came over and joined us for dinner outside as it was a very nice, warm evening here.

Saturday turned out to be a perfect too - sunny and hot, close to 30C. In the morning, before it got too warm, Paulette and I decided to go for a drive and check out a few garage sales in Palm Springs. It was a pretty good day, lots of action, and Paulette managed to find a few bargains here and there.

From Sands RV Park - March

In the afternoon, we all went to the swimming pool except for Paul and Gary who went golfing here at the Sands golf course. They caught up with me later at the pool - it was too hot for golf as far as I was concerned.

A really big first today! Paulette decided to drive the truck into Palm Desert as she wanted to go to a quilting store. She actually drove home on the I-10 freeway – amazing!! I guess it must be time for the refrain “I think you must be growing…..” you all know the rest….!

Last night, Paul and Marleen invited the Lowery’s and us over for a "chicken & ribs" barbeque! The food was great and it was a perfect evening to sit outside.

From Sands RV Park - March

Looks like we’ll be going out again Sunday night as Gary and Sandy have invited us all over to their place for another barbeque – it’s just one party after another!!

Before that, however, we have to make a run into the hospital in Palm Springs so that Paulette can get her leg looked at just to make sure everything’s o.k. Hopefully, that will just be a quick visit as it is not a place we especially like hanging around especially as we’ll be looking forward to getting back to the park and the swimming pool. It’s going to be another hot, sunny day here.

We can't believe it's the first of March already - time has just flown by. Well, at least we have another three weeks left here in Palm Springs!
