A Beautiful and Peaceful Day...

Sally and I just returned from Colorado where we spent some time with our friend, Susan, who is not well. Those of you who follow the blog might remember last February when Susan was in town visiting and she talked about the horses of Mongolia. Susan is battling cancer and is now at home with her family. We were able to spend time with her just talking, laughing about the Pony Club days, and sitting quietly together. She is very peaceful and strong. We are sending her and her family our love and support. We love you Susan and we are thinking about you...

It was a very quiet and peaceful day at Shiloh today as well. The sun was shining but there is a chill in the air.

We moved Stardust into the barn this morning. It looks like she possibly suffered a small stroke sometime last night. She is not in pain, but is walking unbalanced and has a head tilt. She is warm and cozy in the heavily bedded stall and is eating and drinking normally. She is about 30 years old and we will keep her comfortable...

Ketchum was moved out of his medical stall and into a pasture. We have been using a chemo cream on his cancer and now we need to leave it alone for two weeks. He will spend the next two weeks in a pasture with friends where we can still watch him but where he can enjoy a good horse life.
